General terms and conditions
§ 1 Scope of application
The following terms and conditions apply to all orders placed via our online store. Our online store is aimed exclusively at consumers.
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside his trade, business or profession. An entrepreneur is a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity who or which, when entering into a legal transaction, acts in exercise of his or its trade, business or profession.
§ 2 Contractual partner, conclusion of contract, correction options
The purchase contract is concluded with Youth Lagoon.
By placing the products in the online store, we make a binding offer to conclude a contract for these items. You can initially place our products in the shopping cart without obligation and correct your entries at any time before submitting your binding order by using the correction aids provided and explained in the order process. The contract is concluded when you accept the offer for the goods contained in the shopping cart by clicking the order button. Immediately after sending the order, you will receive another confirmation by e-mail.
§ 3 Contract language, contract text storage
The contract language is German.
We save the text of the contract and send you the order data and our GTC in text form. For security reasons, the text of the contract is no longer accessible via the Internet.
§ 4 Cancellation policy
Right of withdrawal:
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the goods.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us (hello@youthlagoon.com, phone: +49 151 477 320 90) of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. e-mail). You can use the attached sample withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory.
To comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the expiry of the withdrawal period.
Consequences of withdrawal:
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; under no circumstances will you be charged any fees for this repayment. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You must return or hand over the goods to us immediately and in any case within fourteen days at the latest from the day on which you inform us of the revocation of this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.
You shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Sale Items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
§ 5 Prices and payment
All prices include the applicable statutory value added tax. Customs duties, as well as any shipping costs and similar charges shall be borne by the customer.
We only accept the payment methods shown to the customer during the ordering process.
Payment of the purchase price is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract.
§ 6 Retention of title
Ownership of the delivered goods shall remain with Youth Lagoon until all claims arising from the purchase contract, including any ancillary claims, have been settled in full.
§ 7 Terms of delivery
Shipping costs are added to the indicated product prices. You can find more information on shipping under this link.
We only deliver by mail order. Unfortunately, it is not possible to collect the goods yourself.
We do not deliver to packing stations.
§ 8 Transport damage
If goods are delivered with obvious transport damage, please complain about such defects to the deliverer as soon as possible and contact us immediately. Failure to make a complaint or contact us has no consequences for your legal claims and their enforcement, in particular your warranty rights. However, you will help us to assert our own claims against the carrier or the transport insurance company.
§ 9 Dispute resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (OS), which you can find here. We are not obliged or willing to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.
§ 10 General risks and exclusion of liability
The use of skateboards, surf skates and skateboard parts is at your own risk. Skateboarding and related activities, especially in skate parks or on uneven terrain, are associated with increased risks that can lead to injury or property damage. Youth Lagoon is not liable for damage caused by improper use, negligent actions or non-compliance with the instructions for use.
- We are liable to you in all cases of contractual and non-contractual liability in the event of intent and gross negligence in accordance with the statutory provisions for damages or reimbursement of futile expenses.
- In other cases, we shall only be liable - unless otherwise regulated in paragraph 3 - in the event of a breach of a contractual obligation, the fulfillment of which is essential for the proper execution of the contract and on the observance of which you as a customer may regularly rely (so-called cardinal obligation), limited to compensation for foreseeable and typical damage. In all other cases, our liability is excluded, subject to the provision in paragraph 3.
- Our liability for damages resulting from injury to life, limb or health and under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected by the above limitations and exclusions of liability.
By using our products, the buyer agrees that Youth Lagoon accepts no liability for accidents, injuries or damage caused by improper use, lack of protective equipment or other factors.
§ 11 Special notes on surfskates and axle systems
- Surfskate axles with spring systems (e.g. YOW, Carver, SwellTech, Smoothstar, Slide, 2Hex) are designed for surf training and are not suitable for all skateboard maneuvers. Jumps, aerials or drop-ins in particular, which exert strong forces on the front axle, can damage the trucks or cause injuries.
- Budget models such as the 2Hex Pump Truck are intended exclusively for carving and pumping on flat ground and are not designed for use in skate parks.
§ 12 Safety and responsibility of the user
- Always wear suitable protective equipment, including a helmet and protection set (knee, elbow and wrist pads).
- Check that all nuts and bolts are tight before each use.
Only use the product within your personal capabilities and on suitable surfaces.
§ 13 Warranty
- We are liable for material defects or defects of title of delivered items in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions, in particular §§ 434 ff. BGB.
- The following applies to used goods: if the defect occurs after the expiry of one year from delivery of the goods, claims for defects are excluded. Defects that occur within one year of delivery of the goods can be claimed within the statutory limitation period.
- Any seller's warranties given by us for certain items or manufacturer's warranties granted by the manufacturers of certain items shall apply in addition to the claims for material defects or defects of title within the meaning of para. 1. Details of the scope of such warranties can be found in the warranty conditions which may be enclosed with the items.
§ 14 Giveaways
The promotion begins and ends on the dates and times specified in the linked announcement for the promotion (e.g. the post on our Facebook or Instagram page).
You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your country of residence. You must have an address in the European Union, Norway, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
You can enter the Promotion using one of the entry methods described in the Promotion. To enter, read the linked announcement for this promotion and follow the instructions on how to enter.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.
Our employees and the employees of our affiliates and their immediate family members and employees enrolled in the Program are not eligible.
By participating in Youth Lagoon Giveaways, all participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Youth Lagoon. Individuals who violate any rule, gain an unfair advantage in participating in the giveaways, or obtain winner status by fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. Youth Lagoon will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities regarding the rules or the Giveaway, and Youth Lagoon's decisions regarding such disputes will be final.Should the operation or outcome of the Giveaway be affected by human error, mechanical malfunction or failure of any kind, willful interference or other events beyond the control of Youth Lagoon, Youth Lagoon reserves the right to terminate the Giveaway or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as Youth Lagoon deems appropriate. All decisions made by Youth Lagoon are final.Youth Lagoon may waive any of these rules at its sole discretion.
Winners will be notified within 24 hours of the end of the promotion, as stated in the linked promotion announcement. You will only be notified via our official Instagram account @youthlagoon.
We reserve the right to amend or cancel this promotion at any time.
